Joel Chaney founded Southern Roof Solutions on a simple promise: do honest work, take care of people, and stand behind every roof you put your name on. For decades, that promise carried him up ladders, across rooftops from Hazlehurst to the Gulf Coast, and into the trust of customers who called him friend long after the job was finished.
He believed a handshake meant something. He believed a small-town company could outwork anyone. And he believed the right way to do a job was the only way worth doing it.
Joel passed away in 2026 at the age of 52. He leaves behind a family who loved him, a community that respected him, and a company shaped by his hands.
